Our client is a global restaurant company, which engages in the development and operation of some of the most recognizable brands in the world. They have over 30,000 employees and operate over 50,000 restaurants in 150+ nations and territories.
The client is currently looking to grow their Restaurant Technology SRE team. This team ensures the reliability of both Production and Lab environments. They are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to implement and support configurations for Point-of-Sale and Back-Office hardware, software and customized Linux operating systems.
Responsibilities include:
Manage, execute, and improve the production software deployment process for all restaurant applications.
Support the Quality and Engineering teams by configuring and maintaining test environments.
Perform functional, integration, and regression testing of OS and hardware configurations for Point of Sale, Back of House and other restaurant components in a Linux environment.
Proactively automate repetitive work tasks as a part of process improvement, by use of shell scripting and available automation tools.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of relevant IT experience, in a Site Reliability Engineering or Quality Engineering or DevOps/Automation Engineering role.
Strong working knowledge of the Linux operating system, including bash scripting and use of shell commands such as grep and sed. Knowledge of Ubuntu is desired.
Prior experience with Configuration Management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
Experience with network routing and virtual machines is desired.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with AWS Cloud services and configurations is a plus.
Ability to analyze processes and suggest alternatives with a continuous improvement focus.
Ability to analyze test results for trends and patterns of failure, problem solve and perform basic investigative testing techniques.
Ability to multitask and work well in a fast-paced environment, with good interpersonal and written communication skills.
