Senior Quantitative Marketing Associate

We are working with a multi-channel media company that is a recognized and trusted provider of health information services, serving consumers, physicians, healthcare professionals, employers and health plans.

They are looking for a quantitative analyst to work within their rapidly expanding marketing sciences group in NYC.  This is a newly created role to help the team meet the demand for insights and analysis across the organization and for clients / advertisers.

Responsibilities:

Assist in managing promotional campaign effectiveness measurements

Must be hands-on with the following tools: SAS, SQL, R, SPSS

Assist in strategic value-added analyses and A/B testing around marketing campaigns, tactic and audience optimization, tactic effectiveness and core business metrics

Assist in the building of statistical/econometric models – Estimate average ROI and historical contributions to business via marketing/promotion efforts, while balancing for competitive/external factors.

Deliver concise, compelling, data and insight driven business recommendations to clients and internal leaders on where and how modified business decisions could lead to improved business performance

Assist Business Intelligence / technical teams to define data collection strategies and specifications

Understand complex onsite data collection methods for marketing campaign performance, and ability to improve processes to better support analysis objectives

Help implement data tracking specifications for web analytic deployments across client projects

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science or other related fields with emphasis in quantitative methods

Preferred advanced work in several projects/initiatives within a quantitative discipline (statistics, economics, mathematics, etc.)

3+ years of relevant experience in analytics, measurements, business intelligence, or media research. Title commensurate with experience.

Experience in pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industries strongly preferred

Experience with a variety of analysis techniques, such as multivariate regression, logistic regression, sales forecasting, promotion response/value prediction, advertising effectiveness, consumer profiling, marketing mix and ROI measurement.

Strong knowledge of SAS or SPSS for analysis; and Excel or Tableau for reporting/analysis

Experience with empirical testing (e.g., control exposed) and statistical techniques relevant to market research (e.g., sampling, clustering, stratification) are desirable

A passion for web analytics and the design of proper analytics reporting

Marketing Analytics experience required (i.e., campaign analytics to optimize marketing ROI, segmentation, customer lifetime value studies, test/learn marketing environment, predictive modeling, etc.)
