Senior/Lead Fraud Analyst

IQ Workforce is a leading recruiting firm for the analytics community. We are working with a really exciting company that is in hyper-growth mode. The company provides peer-to-peer automobile sharing via their platform nationally.

As Lead Fraud Analyst, you will have the unique opportunity to tackle challenging problems ranging from identifying fraud, reducing payment risk and chargebacks, developing policies to improve user quality, and developing analytical frameworks to drive decisions.

You’ll be part of the Safety team but will work closely with Operations, Product/Engineering, and Business Intelligence teams. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, is inquisitive, and is interested in driving the future of mobility.

Responsibilities:

Develop strategy and analytical processes and frameworks to identify and reduce fraud, reduce risk, and improve customer experience

Reduce chargebacks and improve chargeback dispute win rates

Work with teams in Operations, Business Intelligence, Product/Engineering, Safety, and Customer Service to define policies and processes to reduce risk

Partner and identify vendors that can aid in reducing risk

Analyze user behavior to derive patterns, create policies and rules, and improve fraud detection

Create dashboards to track key metrics and key results

Interpret large data sets, generate recommendations, and present to different levels of management to drive decisions

Be the expert on the latest fraud techniques and technology; mentor other analysts

Collaborate with Safety Associates and Safety Specialists to improve the effectiveness of their work

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in statistics, finance, economics, math, or related quantitative/technical field

Significant experience as a fraud and risk data analysis in highly transactional environment

Experience with LookML or other SQL languages

Experience with business intelligence tools such as Looker, PeriscopeData, Tableau, etc.

Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to breakdown complex analysis so that it is easy to understand

Project management skills and ability to meet aggressive deadlines with a bias towards action

Creative problem solving and critical thinking skills, especially when there is not much structure

Experience with on-demand marketplace, e-commerce, etc not required but a strong plus
