Senior Director Marketing Strategy & Analytics

Medscape (a division of WebMD) is looking to hire a Senior Director with proven success in marketing strategy and analytics to support its growing HCP business within the US and Global markets. This is a leadership role responsible for owning foundational and strategic capabilities such as Triggered Marketing (e.g. Next Best Action Campaigns), Performance Guaranteed Programs as well as Audience Targeting & Segmentation. The Senior Director will manage 5-6 direct reports and will be a key contributor in various business development initiatives.

Primary responsibilities:

Take ownership (i.e. defining, operationalizing and augmenting) of foundational and strategic capabilities such as:
Triggered marketing (e.g. Next Best Action Campaigns)
Performance guaranteed programs
Audience targeting and segmentation

Manage and mentor a team of 5-6 direct reports with marketing and analytics background. Team responsibilities include:
Developing value-driven marketing campaigns for Medscape’s most strategic accounts leveraging triggered marketing, guaranteed performance and/or advanced targeting and segmentation capabilities

Providing oversight and hands-on management to strategic deals throughout their life cycle across pre-sale, post-sale execution and measurement, and renewal stages

Partner with Sales and Management teams on various business development initiatives such as:
Introducing new solutions to the market
Establishing strategic partnership with new or existing clients

Develop sound understanding of Medscape’s product portfolio, historical performance according to various therapeutic categories and audience segments, promotional impact measurement methodology, and data capabilities of various analytics partners

Tackle complex and ambiguous problems with a strategic and entrepreneurial mindset

Create recommendations and action plans for solving problems

Requirements:

10+ years relevant experience

Outstanding analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills

High energy, disciplined self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and proven leadership skills

Experience with marketing strategy and campaign analytics

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to clients, partners, and stakeholders

Experience in digital healthcare marketing with HCP focus

Experience building, interpreting and/or presenting statistical analyses
