Senior Consultant - Data Quality & Governance

Responsibilities:
Apply your expertise to document, assess, influence and synthesize business requirements to develop, enable and advance data governance and stewardship capabilities
Design future-state concept of operations through development of business process models and data flow diagrams
Work with Business partners to recommend data control placements and control sets.
Research and experiment with emerging Data Quality Profiling technologies and tools associated to data quality, metadata, data governance.
Develop KPIs and dashboards to measure the success of data governance programs.
Contribute to new business pilots/proposals and products/solutions development.
Collect requirements and inputs from client stakeholders to define data governance objectives and processes.
Define interdependencies across multiple organizations, understand risks and develop mitigation plans and data models.
Execute processes for monitoring, measuring, and reporting compliance with acceptable levels of data quality (completeness, validity, consistency, timeliness and accuracy)
Identify key data attributes that needs to be monitored and establish framework for efficient governance.
Successfully develop and take ownership of conceptual and logical architecture designs for Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse systems.
Participate in requirement meetings and data mapping sessions to understand business needs.
Requirements:
Several years of professional experience in data management, data warehousing, data quality and/or governance or relevant consulting experience for an enterprise scale company.
Experience in establishing and successfully implementing Data Governance initiatives: heavy emphasis on developing and implementing data standards, policies, practices, and procedures that lead to substantive improvements in data quality.
Academic degree(s) in Information Technology or related technical disciplines
Client-facing experience in managing analytical projects and teams
Experience with Data Governance/Standardization tools.
Good Knowledge of at least one Data Quality tool (Quality Stage, Informatica IDQ, Trillium).
Hands-on experience in SQL development is required. Teradata, Aster, Hadoop, UNIX and R/Python experience is a plus.
Proficient in designing and scheduling complex SSIS packages for transferring data from multiple data sources and integrate data based on business logic and to load it in data warehouse.
Experience in using various reporting tools to create analytical dashboards that depict critical KPI’s for business needs.
Ability to automate data reconciliation checks from source to Reporting Systems using various Tools and technologies.
Understanding of data manipulation technologies & data platforms (based on either prepackaged ETL tools and/or custom programming).
Excellent communications skills, both written and spoken, as well as being able to present complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and a comfort interacting with clients from the C-suite to marketing managers to technical specialists.
Be comfortable working autonomously or with broad guidelines; this role will often be working independently at client offices.
Ideal candidate will possess strong business acumen and has been in a consulting role previously.
