WebMD is best known as a health information services website, which publishes content regarding health and health care topics, including a symptom checklist, pharmacy information, drugs information, and blogs of physicians with specific topics, and provides a place to store personal medical information.

WebMD is currently looking for a Sr. Analyst with strong SQL skills for our expanding Business Intelligence and Analytics group within Marketing Sciences.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and provide database support to various business end-users

Perform analysis and translate business needs and to create solution requirements documentation

Work closely with internal customers, technical staff, and QA to ensure the solution deliverables (visualizations) satisfy business requirements

Develop and/or update product solution overviews, FAQs and user documentation to support project implementation activities

Plan, develop, organize, write, and edit operational procedures and manuals, ensuring continuity of style and content Research, develop, and document technical design specifications and test scripts to meet end users’ needs

Maintain a comprehensive library of technical terminology and help to educate our internal clients

Work with internal teams to understand products; talk with product managers and developers to understand and document requirements

Gather usability feedback from product managers, developers, and product marketers

Create tutorials to help end-users more effectively use a variety of applications

Analyze existing and potential solutions, focusing on reuse and scalability opportunities

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree

Ability to write complex queries in SQL

Experience with Unix/Linux, Vertica or comparable databases

Experience with Web and Mobile applications and their deployment

Ability to prioritize assigned tasks and balance multiple deadlines / projects

Proven ability to demonstrate interpersonal and communication skills

Experience understanding and documenting business requirements and processes

Experience communicating effectively with both business and technical staff, conveying complex ideas to various audiences in both verbal and written form

Eager to learn new corporate applications, concepts, technologies and integrations
