This is a client-facing role within their global digital business, which has over 3500 employees.This role will work with a Fortune 100 technology client to stand up big data infrastructure and systems for use by their data science and analytics organizations. 

It is a high profile role that will have a big impact on their business.  

Responsibilities:

Document, assess, influence and synthesize business requirements to develop, enable and advance data engineering & data infrastructure capabilities

Design future-state architectures of their data platforms enabling analytical intelligence and then play a role to implement a roadmap to reach that state

Work with business partners in cross functional teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs

Collaborate with development teams to create data tools for analytics and data sciences

Contribute to new business pilots/proposals and products/solutions development

Successfully develop and take ownership of conceptual and logical architecture designs for Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse systems

Requirements:

Significant professional experience in data management, data engineering, data infrastructure or relevant consulting experience for an enterprise scale company

Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as familiarity with a variety of relational databases and big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark and Hive

Experience with Data Cataloging, data lineage mapping and establishing best practices

Experience in establishing and successfully implementing Data Governance and Data Quality programs is considered a plus

Masters in Information Systems or another technical discipline… or Bachelor’s degree with equivalent professional experience

Client-facing experience in managing analytical projects 

Successful history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large disconnected datasets

Proficient in designing and scheduling complex SSIS packages for transferring data from multiple data sources and integrate data based on business logic and to load it in data warehouse

Excellent communications skills, both written and spoken, as well as being able to present complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience

Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and a comfort interacting with clients from the C-suite to managers to technical specialists
