About the Job:
The company is seeking experienced Product Managers and Senior Product Managers to join their dynamic and fast-growing organization. These roles will be on the front lines of building the cutting edge apps that they take to market and the systems that run their business.
We are looking for product managers who are able to quickly interpret business and customer needs and turn them into compelling solutions. Often working under tight deadlines, product managers must be effective communicators, especially when it comes to relaying abstract or creative concepts to engineering and design teams, as well as company stakeholders. Domain expertise in digital news and editorial products is a plus, but experience developing responsive web and mobile apps (Android and iOS) is a must.
This position reports to the Director of Product.
Responsibilities:
Transform business requirements and engagement needs into high-functioning features and products.
Work with onshore and offshore engineering teams, managing sprints and agile scrum methodologies of product development.
Lead projects from conception to completion in accordance with deadlines.
Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
Ask smart questions, take risks, and champion new ideas.
Requirements:
A degree in a relevant academic discipline, i.e. science/engineering, visual or experiential design, journalism or domain expertise / equivalent professional experience.
Experience as a product manager for mobile or web applications.
Experience managing product backlogs and running Agile sprints with JIRA or equivalent tools.
Ability to work with stakeholders to understand detailed requirements and determine a plan that will ensure they are met or exceeded.
Strong interpersonal skills to clearly and effectively communicate the creative vision, concepts, ideas, and solutions to stakeholders and internal teams.
Exposure to editorial publishing is a plus – not required.
Experience working with onshore and offshore engineering teams.
Strongly data-driven product development approach.
