Onsite Marketing Operations Specialist

Our client, The Philadelphia Inquirer, was founded in 1829 and is the third-oldest continually operating daily newspaper in the United States. It was purchased in 2014 by the non-profit Lenfest Institute, which was founded by philanthropist Gerry Lenfest to protect and promote the integrity of journalism – specifically local journalism.

The Philadelphia Inquirer publishes a news website (Inquirer.com) and two daily newspapers (The Philadelphia Inquirer and Daily News) and has come a long way in terms of modernizing its operations and delivering content across digital channels. The focus now is to modernize their Marketing department to enable them to build audiences more effectively for their content and monetize those audiences.

One of the key positions of focus is a Specialist in Onsite Operations. This Specialist will work in a 3-person team under the Manager of Marketing Operations to ensure the timely delivery and flawless execution of multichannel marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities include:
Support onsite marketing efforts with creation and maintenance of URLs, tracking and promotional
codes.

In partnership with product, team owner of onsite assets, including Piano and BlueConic

Responsible for updating the paywall creative, subscribe button copy, and any potential future subscription assets

Oversee QA process for all onsite assets

Set URLs and test links for landing pages

Assign promotional codes

Marketing Cloud reporting

Report out of GBQ results and conversions

Retention reporting assessment on campaigns

Qualifications:
2-3 years of digital marketing experience, ideally in a publishing/media or ecommerce sphere

HTML or CSS experience

Experience with Google Analytics or Adobe Marketing Cloud preferred

Be a proactive self-starter, eager to learn and grow, and have a passion to seek & identify opportunities for business growth

Be a collaborator, able to work closely with cross-functional teams and oversee projects from inception to final result

Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and juggling multiple projects at one time
