Summary:

Manager Trading & Programmatic Strategy is a senior-level contributor with experience in programmatic media execution and strategy, data enabled problem solving, and excellent account servicing. This person works closely with the Sr. Director, Trading & Strategic Partnerships and other members of the senior leadership to help drive innovative initiatives for the business. This person is expected to employ and continually define state-of-the-art techniques to drive innovation and excellent performance against business objectives through a thorough understanding of digital technologies and a passion for creative problem solving grounded in data.

Accountabilities:

• Expert user of programmatic technologies including, demand side platforms, ad servers, ad exchanges, supply partners, and data management platforms
• Manage a team 4-6 programmatic traders
• Understand client performance objectives and help develop successful investment strategies including data, platform and an understanding of how to exceed client expectations
• Assume accountability and ownership for operational successes and failures in client media performance of team campaigns
• Consult programmatic traders by helping with complex campaign setups and identify and deliver new programmatic solutions
• Work closely with sales leads to develop and deliver strategic insights to cultivate long term execution plans from client’s business objections and implement them
• Identify client growth opportunities and successfully communicate to clients
• Serve as a point of escalation for campaign and strategic items related to media optimization practices
• Act as a thought leader among client teams for all issues relevant to platforms, performance, and industry topics
• Train team members and others on trading best practices to foster an environment of collaboration
• Partner with other departments (Product, Analytics, Partnerships, Operations & Supply) to enhance existing programmatic technology platforms and processes
• Help with managing relationships with media, data and supply partners

Qualifications:

• 4-6 years of agency or client experience working with data and analytic solutions, preferably in programmatic media buying
• Familiar with digital media planning elements and measurement tools
• Highly analytical with great problem-solving skills
• Ability to pre-empt issues and be proactive in producing solutions
• Ability to analyze and interpret large amounts of data
• Capable to work under pressure and with short deadlines
• Aptitude to build and maintain strong working relationships
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Ability to organize and manage detail workflow
• Advanced experience in working with Excel (e.g. PivotTables, Pivot Graph, Data Table, etc.)
• Proficient in other MS Office products like Word and PowerPoint
• Hands on keyboard experience in various DSPs
