Our client is a global restaurant company, which engages in the development and operation of some of the most recognizable brands in the world. They have over 30,000 employees and operate over 50,000 restaurants in 150+ nations and territories.
They are currently looking to add another Machine Learning (ML) Engineer to their dynamic and rapidly scaling Data Science team. They are making this investment to help optimize their digital channels and technology innovations, with the end goal of creating competitive advantages for their restaurants around the globe.
They are looking for a ML Engineer to help them create artificial intelligence products. This would include working with data scientists in creating machine learning models, retraining systems, and software. To do this job successfully, you need exceptional skills in statistics and programming while having knowledge of data science and software engineering. Your ultimate goal will be to shape and build efficient self-learning applications.
Responsibilities include:
Study and transform data science prototypes
Design machine learning systems
Work with data scientists to research and implement appropriate ML algorithms and tools
Develop machine learning applications according to requirements
Select appropriate datasets and data representation methods
Help run machine learning tests and experiments
Help perform statistical analysis and fine-tuning using test results
Train and retrain systems when necessary
Extend existing ML libraries and frameworks
Keep abreast of developments in the field
Qualifications:
BSc in Computer Science, Mathematics or similar field; Master’s degree is a plus
Proven experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or similar role
Deep knowledge of data structures, math, probability, statistics, and algorithms
Understanding of data modeling, and software architecture
Deep knowledge of designing and working with microservices
Knowledge of Apache Pulsar or Kafka
Knowledge of container orchestration environments, such as Kubernetes
Ability to write robust code in Python. Java and R are a plus
Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (like Keras or PyTorch) and libraries (like sci-kit-learn)
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work in a team
Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
