Our client is a leader in the online brokerage industry.  They are building a new Customer Information Management (CIM) group for end-to-end reporting & analysis across the digital enterprise.

They are seeking a lead data analyst to partner with cross-functional teams to create, analyze, and report information related to financial performance, inclusive of ad hoc deliverables and projects.  The position reports to the Director of Data Analytics within the Strategy and Business Intelligence team.


Address business data requests queue – including interacting with business partners to better understand needs, recommend best way to address needs, query and extract data from relevant systems like Enterprise Data Warehouse, cleanse, translate and merge different datasets as required to help solve business question on hand.

Incorporate industry best practices into daily work and team processes.

Create periodic financial reports and presentations, including Board of Directors level materials.

Execute thoughtful analysis regarding the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and key financial and operational metrics

Support team commitments during earnings and other critical reporting cycles.

Assist team optimize utilization of analytical tools like Business Objects and Spotfire.

Enforce consistency in data interpretation across team.

Support related audit needs.

Understand executive management’s information needs and contribute to related solution roadmaps.

Partner with Tech & Business functions to build a customer data foundation for analytics purposes as needed.


Candidates should have significant data analytics experience.

Must have a good knowledge of brokerage trading/investing business and related data flows.

Expert in database concepts, writing efficient SQL, ability to tune/optimize SQLs during data retrieval etc.

Prior experience in using data warehouses and data marts.

Proficient in OLAP tools, preferably Business Objects and Spotfire.

Strong quantitative and analytical skills.

Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects & deadlines.

Ability to work independently and operate effectively in a cross-functional, cross-cultural, multi-time zone environment.

Bachelor’s degree is required.
