Our client, The Philadelphia Inquirer, was founded in 1829 and is the third-oldest continually operating daily newspaper in the United States. It was purchased in 2014 by the non-profit Lenfest Institute, which was founded by philanthropist Gerry Lenfest to protect and promote the integrity of journalism – specifically local journalism.

The Philadelphia Inquirer publishes a news website (Inquirer.com) and two daily newspapers (The Philadelphia Inquirer and Daily News) and has come a long way in terms of modernizing its operations and delivering content across digital channels. The focus now is to modernize their Marketing department to enable them to build audiences more effectively for their content and monetize those audiences.

One of the key positions of focus is an Engagement and Loyalty Analyst will focus on the analysis and day to day support of project management of all retention marketing initiatives including email, direct mail, on-site and telephone to inform strategy and mitigate churn. This person will be comfortable working with data to extract actionable insights.

Responsibilities:
Make recommendations based on reporting insights to marketing stakeholders to increase subscriptions, engagement and LTV

Day to day support of marketing project management

Develop process for sharing insights and best practices

Supports campaign analytics and analysis, measure ROI on marketing investment, dashboard, campaign support

Develop reporting for churn related insights by coordinating, extracting and analyzing customer churn and customer behavior related data

This role will work with and manage through large complex data sets and turn that data into key statistics, trends, etc

Analyze and provide key insights into direct mail and telemarketing campaigns as well as email performance

Qualifications:

1+ years of relevant work experience including internships

Strong analytical background

Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Google Analytics, Google Data Studio experience is a plus

Excellent project management skills as well as attention to detail

Proven ability to turn data into actionable insights

Be a collaborator with the ability to work cross functionally

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and juggling multiple projects at one time
