Our client is a premier brand in the consumer financial services space.  As their Head of Product Analytics, this position will work closely with the Office of the President, internal strategy team as well as business and transformation leads in defining and executing strategic analyses aimed at uncovering insights and intelligence into observed trends.

They are looking for a highly motivated, consultative-minded individual with experience in financial services, preferably in the brokerage industry. The successful candidate comes from a business background, and brings outstanding analytical, problem-solving and business management skills. The position reports to the Head of Business Intelligence within the Strategy and Business Intelligence organization, and the group reports directly to the President of the Company.

 

Responsibilities

Manage relationships with Senior Management across our 2 major product functions (Retirement, Investing & Savings; and Trading, Margin, Lending & Cash Management)

Define and design key performance scorecards and provide guidance to the reporting and information management team to build standardized reporting and visualizations that provide insights into the health of the overall business

Partner with internal strategy team on key cross-functional initiatives to provide analytical support

Design, lead and perform detailed analyses that yield actionable insights into trends in key corporate metrics such as asset flows, attrition, acquisition, share of wallet growth, DARTs

Identify current data gaps for effective product reporting and analytics and work with technology partners to build solutions to address them

Effectively collaborate across product & channel functional and BI teams on an ongoing basis

Present findings of analyses in a clear, compelling and concise manner

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a business or finance related field; Advanced degrees/certifications considered a plus

10+ years of professional experience, preferably within the retail brokerage or financial services industry. Strong understanding of investing and trading products expected.  Management consulting experience is a plus.

Excellent end-to-end analytical skills – ability to structure ambiguous problem statements, perform analysis, gather insights and package findings in a clear and consumable manner.

Strategic thinker who is able to understand the ‘big picture’

Strong leadership skills; experience in leading small-mid size teams and mentoring/guiding team members to continually develop skill sets within the team

Strong verbal & written presentation skills as well as (internal) client management and relationship building skills

Strong proficiency in Excel, and PowerPoint. Understanding of Business Intelligence tools and capabilities considered a plus.
