Our client is one of the leading global content and service providers for the health care community. Their health care services business unit enables employers and health plans to provide their employees and plan members with access to personalized health and benefit information, decision support technology that helps them make informed benefit, provider and treatment choices and provides telephonic health coaching services.
They are looking for a senior leader for their Health Care Analytics department to provide leadership and direction to a team of seven analysts dedicated to improving the health of more than 10 million people.
You will be an integral part of building analytics and consulting services that drive customer’s health improvement strategies. Specifically, you will use your outstanding leadership skills to analyze the effectiveness of products and service offerings, profile the behavior of consumers, provide key metrics and benchmarks, and develop strategic recommendations for customers. Expect challenging, interesting problems that will frequently exercise your critical thinking, SQL, business intelligence, and data visualization skills.
As the Director of Health Care Data Analytics you will report into the Client Delivery organization and be an integral member of the Client Delivery leadership team. You will work closely with product management, marketing, data warehouse, report development, and senior management teams to demonstrate the power of BI to drive decisions.
Your work will frequently be shared with theC-suite where your expertise will be used to help drive decisions on population health management across the country. Additional responsibilities include representing the organization at client meetings – existing and new client opportunities, industry forums and other marketing events.
Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and management for a highly skilled analytics team in the extraction, aggregation and quality assurance of data from multiple sources.
Directly assist with client reporting, operational reporting and quantitative analysis of data, as needed and when demand requires it.
Provide best-in-class reporting and analytics that demonstrate the value of products and services through meaningful data analysis and presentation; including the continual development of “best practice” client consulting and analysis tools.
Provide leadership and specific strategies to continually improve client outcome based reports working closely with the Client Delivery and Sales Executives teams.
Provide leadership and specific strategies to continually improve the use of book-of-business analytics used by Product, Marketing, and Sales in externally facing material.
Develop strategies and plans in collaborative partnership with the Enterprise Data Team that leads to improved data access, data quality and timeliness.
Lead the development of Business Intelligence strategies and analysis that:
- Demonstrate the value of new products and services
- Drive better product and services outcomes during the product development cycle
- Support Quality Improvement Processes
- Provide the Executive Leadership Team with data to make business decisions
Requirements:
7+ years of progressive leadership responsibility of data analytics teams within a health care / health tech domain
Strong ability to translate data into information, and information into usable, actionable stories
Ability to articulate findings and present to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences at the executive and business levels.
Ability to influence and work well across departments and teams
An understanding of the reporting challenges in the health improvement industry
Experience conducting ROI and outcomes studies for various products and services and knowledge of various methodologies used
Statistical analytical knowledge
Experience in the healthcare and/or wellness space
Research and publications related to health improvement
