IQ Workforce is a leading recruiting firm for the analytics & data science communities.
Our client is a global consumer products company in the luxury cosmetics space. They operate 43 international websites in 23 languages that are core to their digital programs. They are currently seeking a Director of Web/Ecommerce Product Management to set the strategy and drive the evolution of these websites.
Reporting to VP of eCommerce and CRM, this Director will oversee a small technical/product team (4-6 direct reports) and own strategic priorities, roadmaps, deadlines, and deliverables.
The ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial mindset and a proven track record of delivering great digital experiences – from both a development delivery standpoint, as well as with efficient and effective global roll-out from an operations standpoint. They want someone who will be the “voice of the customer” and push the boundaries to up-level the end-to-end customer experience. This role will need to be comfortable working with and using data to make decisions, as well as be a strong collaborator with many cross-functional partners to drive results.
Responsibilities include:
Product Roadmap
Develop and execute our website and ecommerce strategy, ensuring alignment with business priorities and KPIs
Collaborate with various cross-functional partners and outside vendors on ideation in bringing the brand, voice, and products to life across our websites
Monitor advancements in the ecommerce and digital space, as well as the competitive landscape, for opportunities and new ideas to improve our customer’s experience and digital sales
Partner closely with Analytics on A/B testing, pre/post analyses, and site satisfaction measures to drive our ecommerce priorities
Content/Operations
Manage the web content calendar and operations to support marketing activities
Oversee the development cycle (developers, QA, external vendors) on continuous feature updates and high-quality releases
Work with Engineering to assess architecture, tools, vendors, and technical solutions to identify gaps and opportunities to improve web maintainability, stability, quality, performance, and innovation/customer experience
General Management
Ensure stakeholders and all web teams are communicating and collaborating effectively
Champion customer and stakeholder needs throughout program execution, ensuring that what is delivered meets the stated goals and objectives
Measurement and reporting on timelines, quality, site KPIs, customer feedback, usability and site testing results
Qualifications:
6-8+ years previous experience in B2C ecommerce
Experience with a global platform and global team is a huge plus
Proven track record of getting things done and done well as demonstrated by products you have built or projects you’ve successfully spearheaded
Strong experience working with web content tools and/or development teams
Intuitive grasp of customer and a drive to reach and satisfy customers
Strong analytical skills to draw conclusions and make data-driven decisions
Content and SEO experience is highly preferred
