Director of Digital Analytics Strategy & Implementation

IQ Workforce is a leading recruiting firm for the analytics community. We are working with one of the fastest growing consulting companies in the world on this interesting role. This position oversees the technical side of their analytics practice in the U.S. The role has a hands-on component where you would consult with blue chip clients on implementation strategy for anything that fires with a Javascript tag. It also has service delivery responsibilities where you would oversee the work of their offshore team. Finally, there is a practice development / solution development component.


• Consult with blue chip clients regarding best practices for implementation of digital analytics solutions
• Develop solutions for tag deployment through tag management systems
• Develop, modify and implement Adobe Analytics JavaScript code, and/or manage the work of others to do the same
• Partner with client stakeholders (marketers and IT staff) to understand data requirements and convey them to offshore analysts who will execute the tag deployment and QA required for accurate data capture
• Support the deployment of all JavaScript technologies used by the digital marketing organizations
• Collaborate with the business development team to provide sales support for new opportunities where your expertise is required
• Travel up to 20% of the time to client sites


• Significant experience deploying digital analytics solutions
• Expert-level understanding of Tag Management Systems, with preference for Tealium and Adobe DTM
• Experience with implementation of Adobe Analytics and willingness to learn new digital analytics platforms from a data-architecture standpoint
• Strong understanding of digital marketing and how data is used to improve decision making
• Ability to communicate effectively with both non-technical marketers as well as technical developers
• Strong knowledge of common internet technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Strong communications skills, both written and spoken
• Successful candidate must have a passion for marketing and the use of analytics, as well as a demonstrated curiosity to learn and ability to teach others
• Ideal candidate has a good understanding of ecommerce best practices and how analytics is used to drive decision-making for online businesses
