Our client is a global restaurant company, which engages in the development and operation of some of the most recognizable brands in the world. They have over 30,000 employees and operate over 50,000 restaurants in 150+ nations and territories. They are looking for an experienced Data leader with deep expertise in engineering & analytics to help drive change in an influence-based role with a global remit.
They are currently in search of a Data & Analytics Analyst to help drive their operational analytics and technology platform. This position will own analyses and integration projects from beginning to end, including opportunity identification, problem scoping, analysis framing / execution, and synthesizing results to project stakeholders and internal leadership.
As a member of the DS&A (Data Science & Analytics) group you will be a core part of the team that is driving forward data and technology-based decision making throughout our organization. From business, operations, and predictive analytics to data modeling & optimization, the DS&A team brings the power of our extensive data assets and capabilities to bear on the brand’s most important decisions.
Our ideal candidate has strong technical skills, an evolving understanding of common technologies, and is capable of decomposing complex problems into addressable components or digestible analyses while maintaining a keen eye on the relevant business objective(s); their core responsibilities include but are not exclusive to:
Execute analytics to understand performance across a variety of store operations subjects using SQL, Python or other data querying languages (~40%)
Maintain existing reporting and build new reporting for monitoring store performance attributes (~30%)
Build presentations explaining conclusions from analytics and present results to stakeholders (~30%)
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s in quantitative or related discipline with 1+ years of experience, or Master’s in quantitative or related discipline
1+ years’ working in analytics or strong internship experiences in positions in performance-driven marketing, e-commerce, or consulting organization
Excellent communication skills with a track record of effectively communicating results of analytics clearly and concisely
Experience using SQL; able to easily query complex data and construct data models as needed
Training with data management and manipulation tools (Python, Scala, or R) and a desire to learn more
Introductory knowledge of at least one commonly applied BI tool (Tableau, Power BI, Domo, etc)
Preferred
Education and or on the job experience with Python
Desire to learn or background with IDEs to make code shareable and scalable (PyCharm or VS Code; PyCharm preferred)
Experience building and maintaining dashboard-based reporting through common BI tools (Tableau or Power BI; Tableau preferred)
Desire to learn new analytics toolkits and techniques as shown through self-study or coursework
