Our client is a marketing services company that sits at the intersection of TV, web and mobile customer data.  They are looking for a Sr. BI Analyst to create, execute and deliver dashboards to various partners in the organization (including but not limited to Finance, Accounting and Membership Statistics).   In addition to the technical aspects of reporting, the Sr. BI Analyst will also be responsible for analyzing the data and offering up business solutions.

Responsibilities

Deliver and analyze scheduled and unscheduled Ad-hoc reports.

Review data and solution business issues as they are discovered.

Proactively understand and articulate the “story” behind the numbers, be able to interpret what data should be provided to the business and manage the deliverables on a regular basis.

Responsible for providing technical and reporting support utilizing Oracle SQL and Cognos.

Provide support to Cognos users.

Construct ad-hoc queries, provide data analysis and support around internal and external client requests.

Involved with and/or responsible for delivery of data warehouse projects which will entail collaborating with business analysts and IT on the design and implementation of new facts and dimensions as well as develop and deliver related reporting.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline with 3+ years Business Intelligence experience.

Demonstrated ability to comprehend complex business processes.

3+ years experience working with Oracle relational database environment.

3+ years SQL programming experience in an Oracle environment.

At least 3 years experience in data warehousing domain with special focus on reporting using tools like Cognos 8.0 or later preferred, or similar BI applications such as Business Objects or Hyperion.

Proven ability to construct and comprehend advanced SQL programs.

Proven ability to construct and comprehend visual basic programs.

Highly computer literate in Microsoft Excel and Access application technologies

Superior attention to detail, problem analysis and problem resolution skills.
