Lead Interaction Designer
Location: New York, NY
We are working with a unique company in the media space. NCC Media is jointly owned by three of the nation’s largest cable companies: Comcast, Spectrum, and Cox. They are uniquely capable of providing national, regional and local marketers the ability to reach consumers in premium television programming and in targeted online content on every screen.
They are looking for a Lead Interaction Designer to work closely with their fast growing product team. They are building applications that will automate complex & multi-geographic advertising campaign planning, execution and delivery.
This will be a player/coach role where you oversee a small team of UX/UI designers while remaining very hands-on… working each day with the heads of Product Management, Engineering and other stakeholder groups.
Develop high level and/or detailed storyboards, mockups, and prototypes to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
Clearly define the user journey with scenarios, storyboards and presentations, detailed interaction specs, and prototypes to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
Define/contribute to UX vision and strategy, generating buy-in
Increase product quality across our products by advocating for user centered product roadmaps, enhanced user experience and design and insights driven by user research
Partner with Product Managers, engineers, researchers and content strategists to oversee the user experience of a product from conception until launch
Oversee / manage the work of a small team of UX/UI designers – freelance and FTE
Extensive experience with visual and interaction design
Experience collaborating with Product Management and Engineering team members
Expert with design tools to produce wireframes and mockups
Experience in providing overall creative direction for larger projects
Experience managing internal and/or contract design teams
Portfolio of UX-focused work samples for web and mobile applications
