I just heard from a reliable source that I was the first person to sign up for this year’s X Change Conference.  #1!  I saw the announcement on Twitter that they started early bird registration and clicked through.  That’s the way you draw it up on the white board when you plan your social media marketing efforts…

This year the event is going to be at a great little hotel on the water in Monteray.  My wife is beside herself that she can’t come.  It will be Sept 20th to the 22nd.  If you attend one web analytics event this year, I would suggest you take a hard look at this one.

eMetrics are multiplying like rabbits.  There are NINE of them this year:  Munich, Toronto, San Jose, London, Madrid, Sydney (!), Sao Paulo, Stockholm and Washington.

I can’t stand the idea of that Hilton in Alexandria again (honestly, can we please change the venue?), so I am going to San Jose and London this year.

Greg Dowling (new VP of Mobile Analytics at Semphonic) is doing a series of breakfast seminars on Mobile Strategy.  I have to get to one of those.  So far he has them scheduled for San Fran, DC and New York.

If you are interested in mobile analytics / strategy then you should really try to get into one of these (seating is limited).  If you’re not interested in mobile analytics and strategy please stop reading and slap yourself in the head right now.

I will be presenting at a couple of Web Analytics Wednesdays in the Spring.  Right now I am looking at London and San Diego for March and April.  I have overhauled my “Career Management in Web Analytics” shtick and it is getting rave reviews from my kids.  Can’t wait to try it out on adults.

I want to go to a couple of Search Marketing events, but I’m not sure which of the letter soup (SES, SMX, IRCE, SMN) to invest in.  Any suggestions?
