Going Global
IQ Workforce has been a "global" recruiting firm in the technical sense of the word for years… we did some business in Canada… but not much.
This year we have been very fortunate that several of our clients have taken us overseas with them. Since we work in such a small niche, one of the most logical ways for us to grow our business is to expand the geography that we cover… so it has been a great opportunity.
Over the past eight months we have developed pretty strong networks in Europe and Australia. So far in 2009 we have successfully placed web analytics and search marketing professionals in the UK, Germany, Australia and Spain. We have worked on additional searches in Finland, France, Belgium and India.
It has been great learning about the differences in cultures, locations, and the levels of sophistication and priorities around web analytics and search marketing in these regions. Thankfully for us, everybody speaks English these days and international calling can be done until your fingers are sore from dialing for under a couple hundred bucks a month.
Next year we are planning on attending our first European-based eMetrics Conference…
We recently became Global Sponsors of Web Analytics Wednesdays, so that once a month, all around the world, we like to think that web analytics professionals are drinking on our tab…
We signed up for Xing – essentially the Linkedin for Germany (and some of the rest of Europe)…
We have expanded the reach of our IQ Blast to hundreds of online marketing and analytics professionals in Europe and Australia…
We have added hundreds of EU-based web analytics professionals to our LinkedIn Group…
