Forrester just published their report on Web Analytics Professional Service Firms called, “Where to Get Help With Web Analytics.” The report came out with some interesting tidbits and sound advice for companies that are looking to improve their ROI on web spend.
We knew that the industry was highly fragmented, but the report shows that 25% of the companies that provide web analytics consulting services are sole practitioners and 75%have fewer than 5 FT consultants… so it is even more fragmented than we thought.
The report goes on to advise, among other things, that companies looking to build their web analytics expertise should: A.) hire/allocate a full-time analyst to the task (as apposed to sharing the function among resources) and B.) engage a pro services firm to jump-start their efforts.
Now for some self-promotion: according to the survey, IQ Workforce is the 12th largest web analytics consultancy in the world in terms of number of FT consultants (6th largest in the USA).
